Counselling Services
I try to bring compassion, curiosity, respect and light-heartedness to our counselling process.

I offer individual counselling to work with a wide variety of issues, including anxiety, struggles in relationships, dysfunctional behaviour patterns, healing from trauma or abuse, career struggles, grief, navigating raising children, managing conflict in families, difficulties living with chronic or physical illness.
Individual Counselling
I often use the IFS approach for working with clients' grief, trauma history, and identifying and changing patterns that aren't working. IFS is a compassionate, self-pacing and non-pathologizing approach that is often very effective at assisting clients to identify and lean into their areas of strength.
Couples
Counselling
I love working with couples; couples counselling is a significant part of my practice. I work with couples of all stages of their relationships, from help navigating the day-to-day challenges of living in partnership to dealing with crisis.I have extensive training, experience and certification in the Internal Family Systems method for couples counselling. In addition, I am a certified and active Family Law Mediator.
Some of the ordinary challenges that can benefit from help with a therapist include: raising children, transitions in work, relocation, fertility struggles, decision-making around entering into a long-term relationship, renegotiating relationship patterns that have existed for years or decades, navigating how to handle responsibilities outside the couple to extended family and demands of the workplace.
I also work with couples facing crises in their lives and in their relationships. These include betrayal, high-conflict, mental illness, acute conflict with children or other family members, and coping with illness and trauma.

Safe, supportive family counselling can lead to creative ways to reduce conflict and enhance relationships. I have training in multiple modalities of couples and family counselling.
Family
Counselling
This work is done both in individual sessions with family members and, where appropriate and desired by family members, in joint sessions with the couple or family group.

Families include and individuals, spouses, parents, children, extended relatives, and families formed through links that are biological, adopted, and chosen through many pathways to connection.
